Productivity coaching

What this is

As an ICF-certified productivity coach, I help people take more conscious control of their actions and their lives. I want to help anyone who’s looking to live with more agency—to maintain ambition and focus as they manage all the levers available to them in the modern world. The future of our communities, societies, and civilization depends on smart, ambitious people taking productive action.

Life coaching is the practice of helping people set and carry out goals and systems in their lives. The client’s area of focus can be as broad as finding a purpose in life, or as narrow as getting a better sleep schedule. Practically, a coach will ask a lot questions that help the client figure out their own desires, obstacles, and conditions for success.

Coaching is action-oriented: unlike psychotherapy, it doesn’t explore a client’s emotions or past experiences, except insofar as they encourage or inhibit the client from taking the wanted actions.

And what is “productivity coaching?” There are different categories of life coaching, and while I’m trained in all of it, I find that productivity (of value) is the area that I care most about, so that’s how I’ve chosen to label my practice.

What I offer as a coach

Productivity coaching is a broad category. There are actually a lot of things I’m trained to help you with. Here are some of the different kinds of work we can do together.

Discover purpose

We’ll talk through what’s most important to you in life and determine a path forward that empowers you to be your most authentic self. Tying many interests into a unified plan can be especially helpful.

Set goals

I’ll help you create goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bounded. We’ll also set up accountability systems to help sustain your progress.

Overcome blocks

We all get into recurring patterns of behavior that hold us back. I can help you dig into the root causes and find ways to get around those obstacles.

Make big decisions

Where to work; where to go to school; which projects to invest in—we’ll talk through your priorities and limitations and tackle the big questions together.

What clients say

I’ve worked with some amazing people, and they’ve been kind enough to give some testimonials for me to share.

This is the type of coaching that when it’s done you’ll immediately wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. It’s simple, it’s direct, and most importantly, it’s personal enough that you’ll naturally begin applying the things you learned.

David O.

Patrick is a great and supportive coach who can offer concrete suggestions and well laid out plans for making structural changes to your life. I found his coaching on methods to improve productivity especially helpful. Most importantly, Patrick is a great listener and always remembers your specific goals and preferences, which allows him to propose plans that are ideally suited for your needs.

About the coach

My name is Patrick Farley. My education is in physics, my job is in big tech, my passions are writing and digital art, and I balance physical fitness, finance/trading, and travel on top of that, plus whatever else is catching my interest.

In 2022, I took a 60-hour ICF-accredited course with the Life Purpose Institute to become a certified life coach (CLC)—all so I could do my very best to support you! I can’t wait to work together.
