About

I use this website to showcase all of my creative projects as I complete them. I also use this site as a blog where I write out thoughts that I believe have value and are worth sharing.

Background

I’m analytical and I’m creative. I’ve often enjoyed work that predominantly engages one side (like physics studies) or the other (like drawing), but I’m at my best when I do work that requires both. That’s why I’m so into 3D digital art and occasional app/game development.

On top of that, I’m a generalist. In fact I’m pretty sure I’m the the most generalist out of anyone I know. I have way too many hobbies, and my interest in each of them is simply too deep and sincere for me to narrow them down. I won’t give up my art, or playing the drums, or coding, or writing, or cooking, or trading. After five years I managed to take a hiatus from parkour, but I replaced it with a redoubled commitment to lifting. After two years I managed to take a break from learning Italian, but I know I’ll get back into that when I plan my next trip.

I work full-time as a Content Developer for Microsoft—I write tutorials for developers using our AI services. It’s a very fitting job for a generalist.

I love being a generalist, but it can be challenging to fit everything neatly into my life. That’s why productivity and lifestyle structure have become so important to me, and why a lot of my writing is about these things. Some of my tech projects, too, are about creating unobtrusive tools that can help me organize and optimize my time.

The other half of my writing is basically analytic philosophy. I write out ideas and models that I’ve found to be practically useful, incorporating what I’ve learned from reading philosophy, history, and psychology, and my personal experiences. I don’t think being relentlessly pragmatic needs to prevent you from engaging with big, lofty ideas. Their integration can be beautiful.
