I’m very excited to announce a brand-new project that I’ve been working on for the better part of last year. It’s a website called True Generalist (truegeneralist.com), and it’s all about giving generalists the resources they need to excel at everything they do.

In all my years on the Internet I haven’t come across much lifestyle / productivity content specifically geared toward generalists, so I’m making it myself, based on my experience and that of others in collaboration.

A generalist is any person with a sincere interest in a wide variety of subjects—as opposed to a specialist. Other terms that refer to the same idea are “multi-passionate,” “multipotentialite,” and “multi-hyphenate.” In other periods of history, they’ve been called homines universales (universal men), renaissance men, or polymaths. They’ve been groundbreaking artists, world-changing inventors, and revolutionary thinkers.

I’m an extreme generalist, and I love living this way. If you’re a generalist too, then True Generalist is a community for you. It’ll contain blog posts, productivity tools, productivity coaching (more on that in a later announcement), and eventually interviews and other video content.

I’ll be rolling out the core content over the next couple weeks. Some updates will appear here, but you should go to True Generalist and subscribe by email to see everything as it comes out.
