This image came to my mind a year and a half ago when I was sick and more-or-less stranded in Australia, at the tail end of my vacation, because all the airlines were canceling their service due to covid. I wanted to portray the weariness you feel when a handful of different problems happen to combine around you.

Do you ever feel like this?

I took a photo of myself, modeled the shapes in Blender, and combined them in Blender’s image editor.

I like the aesthetics of this pose; I just think it conveys heaviness really well. I actually created a sculpture of it a long time ago.

I also made a version with a different color palette. I chose the original colors to be as loud and jarring as possible. This is a more coordinated look.

I don’t solve ’em, no, I just cause them,
And they weigh on my mind.
